Weight
loss
109 people aged
17-67 year olds completed a
behavioural treatment for
weight management either with or without the addition of hypnosis.
At 8-month and
2-year follow up, the hypnosis
subjects showed significant additional
weight loss. More subjects
who used hypnosis also
achieved and maintained their personal weight goals.

Many
people trying to lose
weight have tried every diet
under the sun. The media encourages us to drastically change what we
eat every
few months to follow the latest celebrity fad: the South Beach
diet, the Atkins diet, the grapefruit diet, the cabbage soup diet
etc.
Not
only
are some of these extreme diets genuinely unhealthy, but they ruin our
relationship with food. Also, the problem with “going on a
diet” is that anything
you “go on” you will inevitably “come
off” - just like a fairground ride.
My
approach to weight loss is
very simple: to develop
long-term healthy eating habits, you need to regain your natural,
instinctive
enjoyment of eating well.
During
a hypnotherapy session I'll be using advanced hypnotic techniques to
help you
eliminate any habitual binging patterns you may have developed. I will
help you train your
mind to recapture your instinctive enjoyment of eating good, nutritious
food in
the right portions and exercising appropriately.
Hypnotherapy
isn't magic, and of course you
won't instantly be slimmer after the session, and you'll still need to
make changes in your lifestyle. But it does make the process
of
losing weight much easier and more natural, because you'll
be training your brain to absorb the key attitudes and
thinking
patterns that will keep you slim for life.
