Weight loss

Many people trying to lose weight have tried every diet under the sun. The media encourages us to drastically change what we eat every few months to follow the latest celebrity fad: the South Beach diet, the Atkins diet, the grapefruit diet, the cabbage soup diet etc. Not only are some of these extreme diets genuinely unhealthy, but they ruin our relationship with food. Also, the problem with “going on a diet” is that anything you “go on” you will inevitably “come off” - just like a fairground ride.

My approach to weight loss is very simple: to develop long-term healthy eating habits, you need to regain your natural, instinctive enjoyment of eating well.

We all have an instinctive understanding of what is good for us and what is bad for us. To appreciate this, simply compare how you feel one hour after eating the right amount of good, nutritious food, with how you feel after over-indulging in unhealthy, sugary or greasy food. Eating well makes you feel physically energised, light and healthy, whereas over-eating or eating junk food can make you feel sluggish and sick. The only problem is we don’t always think of this when we put the third slice of chocolate cake in our mouth!

During a hypnotherapy session I will use advanced hypnotic techniques to help you eliminate any habitual binging patterns you may have developed. I will help you train your mind to recapture your instinctive enjoyment of eating good, nutritious food in the right portions and exercising appropriately. Imagine how you’ll feel when you start to feel slimmer and healthier, and what it’ll be like to be really enjoying the process of getting there as well!
