Hi, I’m Joseph Kao, and I’m a hypnotherapist, writer and hypnosis trainer.

I've been studying hypnosis since 1997 and working as a professional hypnotherapist since 2005. I’ve had people travel to see me from all around the UK, and even from Europe and America. I continue to find hypnosis utterly fascinating, and an amazingly powerful approach to making changes.

I’ve also had a lifelong passion for acting, storytelling, and theatre, which for me is about experientially discovering who you are, and who you’re able to become, on an instinctive level, 

I’ve trained in many forms of changework over the years, particularly solution-focused therapy and hypnotherapy. I’m a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and my teachers include Paul McKenna and Richard Bandler, the co-creator of NLP. 

Since 2006 I’ve also been delivering advanced hypnosis trainings and storytelling workshops to therapists and coaches wanting to improve their skills.
